This is a hardware shop as they used to be . before the clowns took over. From the tiniest to the biggest screw. From a long-forgotten tool, to the latest must-have DIY gizmo. Hollister's has 'em all.

Mr Hollister knows where everything is, and what it does. No B&Q ignoramuses here. No DoItAll know-nothings. Want two screws? . he'll do a deal.

For years I had looked for some genuine Arrow staples for my genuine Arrow stapler. Mr Hollister walked straight across his shop and pointed to a high beam. There were the staples I required. But I had to reach 'em down . Mr Hollister is a not a tall bloke. But he's a giant in the hardware business..
