A review of White Lion by Gillian written on Friday 18th of October 2024
A few weeks ago my partner and brother visited The White Lion for lunch. My experience has always been very good but on this occasion we had cause to complain.
My brother, who does not like to complain, ordered steak and ale pie which was inedible. The pastry was hard and impossible to cut and the meat filling was gristly. My moussaka had clearly been reheated for far too long and was dry and tasteless. Recognising this as a chain pub the quality still needs to reflect the price of the meal. I live a short walk away and would like to visit on a regular basis but this has put me off.
I await your comments
